Alavi is currently working on his PhD degree within CRAFT, an EPFL group headed by Pierre Dillenbourg. He is conducting a comparative study on distributed and centralized awareness systems. He is currently working on Lantern, an ambient awareness tool that supports interaction between students and teaching assistants and among students during recitation sections. BIOGRAPHY His academic background encompasses two master degrees, one in Telecommunication Systems and one in Computer Engineering, from EPFL and University of Tehran respectively.
