Biography

Architect-archaeologist, he directed the Office of Paris of the Institute of Research on the Ancient Architecture (IRAA) of the CNRS from 1972 to 2003. He received the Diploma of architect (DESA), with a thesis of High Studies in monumental archaeology. He was Professor at “Université de Paris IV” until 2002, and he currently teaches at the “Institut des Beaux Arts” of Lebanon, at the “Ecole” of Louvre, at the “Ecole” of Chaillot, at the “Università di Roma III”. His domain of activities: Roman Italy, Greek world, Pharaonic Egypt, history of site buildings’ techniques.
He collaborates with the museum of the Louvre (Greek and Roman antiques, Egyptian antiques) and with the museum of the Middle Ages.
