MISSION
|
1. Human resource support to the Director of the Library. In particular in :
Staff recruitment/departure strategy planning
Definition in staff profiles and needs
Organisation of the different activity sectors layout
Support to the teams in the functioning of sectors and their activities diagnosis
Participation in different projects
2. Continuing education of library staff
Evaluation of needs
Information to staff, collection and follow-up of the different courses available : web, distribution lists, direct contacts
Elaboration and follow-up of continuing education plan
3. Management/optimisation of the premises
Contacts with the DII-Management (Real Estate and Infrastructure Domain) service at the EPFL
Support for the visits and informations on the « Rolex Learning Center » building

BIOGRAPHY
|
Mirjana Rittmeyer has worked on the Rolex Learning Center project from summer 2003 until its opening in February 2010 as the assistant of David Aymonin, Director of Scientific Information and Library. During that time, she also represented users by maintaining a constant flow of information with different participants from the Presidency and DII, as well as the architects and the Total Service Contractor. As well as her HR support and continuing education activities as the Directors assistant, she now keeps monitoring the entry into operation of the building.
Graduate of the EPFL Architecture Department, she worked as an architect for some 20 years, specialising in the general planning and financial management of large-scale and complex educational and industrial projects. In particular, between 1982 and 1990, she was project manager for the design and construction of the Electricity Department and Computer Science Department buildings of the EPFL.
