RESEARCH INTERESTS
I am in general interested in doing research in the broad area of Computational and Systems Biology.
EDUCATION
I am currently a Ph.D. student (Sept. 2009 - present) in the Laboratory of Computational Biology and Bioinformatics (LCBB), School of Computer and Communication Sciences (IC) of EPFL. My research area is Computational Biology. I am advised by Prof. Bernard M.E. Moret and Dr. Philipp Bucher.
I did my Master of Science (Engineering) (Jan. 2006 - Jan. 2009) from Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore in the Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE) department. My area of research during my masters was Automatic Speech Recognition and I was advised by Prof. T.V. Sreenivas. My MSc(Engg.) Thesis won the Prof. F.M. Mowdawalla Medal for the best thesis in the ECE department of IISc for the academic year 2008-09.
I did Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics and Communication (Aug. 2001 - June 2005) from B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore (Visvesvaraya Technological University).
