BIOGRAPHY
Ramin Khalili is a senior researcher in LCA2 group led by Prof. Jean-Yves Le Boudec at EPFL.

He received his Bachelors of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering from University of Shiraz in Sept'99, his Masters of Science (M.S.) in Telecommunication from Sharif University of Technology in Sept'01, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 (LIP6) in Dec'05.

After his thesis, he worked for one year as a CNRS research fellow at LSS-Supelec . In Jan'07, he joined Computer Network Research Group at UMASS-Amhers , where he worked as postdoctoral research associate with Prof. Jim Kurose and Prof. Don Towsley .

Khalili's research interests include topics in computer networks, wireless communications and mobile computing with an emphasis on energy. His recent work on energy efficiency of extensive deployment of femto base stations in LTE networks wins the best paper award at ACM E-Energy 2011.
