Research Interests
What are the mutual impacts of (1) pervasive communication technology in mediating physical space; and (2) physical built space (architecture) on technology - as an obstacle for propagation of wireless signals, but also its infrastructure? 'Wireless signals' I am interested in are EM waves that propagate in the air in urban environments, which human body cannot feel, but which it (humans) is using and producing, indirectly through technology. Within the research framework, I will try to prove that the physicality of wireless signals has an architectural quality and therefore an impact on the way we use space.
