BIOGRAPHY
Son Do-Lenh is a PhD student of Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), under supervision of Professor Pierre Dillenbourg and Dr. Patrick Jermann. His current project is Dual-T which aims to build an augmented reality table for apprentices in logistics. This project brings him and his colleagues two awards: one Distinct Paper Award from the European Conference on Technology-Enhanced Learning 2010 and one Best Paper from the Child Computer Interaction workshop in CHI 2011.

He obtained his BSc from University of Sciences, Vietnam National University in 2003 and was involved in teaching activities at the same school as a Teaching Assistant and then Lecturer from 2003 to 2006. He completed his MSc thesis in EPFL, working with Dr. Frederic Kaplan on the Docklamp, a portable interactive projector-camera system, implementing a real-time multi-fingertip detection algorithm.

He was a fellow at SDR, Harvard University with Dr. Chia Shen. His work at Harvard focuses on the development and evaluation of multiple gestural and direct-touch interfaces. He was taking part in creating design guidelines and experiments on state awareness in modal applications with freehand input. He was also designing and developing multi-touch games with tangible objects for the therapy of children with cerebral palsy.

His research interests include Human-Computer Interaction and Computer-Supported Collaborative Learning. His Ph.D is about designing and evaluating interactive tangible, augmented reality systems and reflection-supporting tools in collaborative learning environments.
