BIOGRAPHY
From Fall 1998 to July 2003, he was a principal member of technical staff at the Information Sciences Center at AT&T Shannon Laboratory. Since then, he has joined the faculty of the School of Computer and Communication Sciences at EPFL. His research interests are in wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, information theory and data compression.

He has received the PhD degree from Information Systems Laboratory, Department of Electrical Engineering, Stanford University in 1998.

He is a recipient of the 2006 IEEE Donald Fink Prize Paper Award, the 2005 John Wiley & Sons IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference Best Paper Award and the Okawa Foundation Research Award.
