Biography
Irene Viola was born in Italy on August 19th, 1991.
She received her BSc. in Cinema and Media Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Turin in 2013, which was followed by a M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering in 2015, specialization graphics and multimedia. As part of the Master, she attended one year at EPFL and from February 2015 until July 2015 she worked in LCAV for her Master thesis, focusing on creating a dataset for algorithms for image super resolution.
Since March 2016 she is doctoral assistant in the MMSPG, which is led by Professor Touradj Ebrahimi, at EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland. Her research is focused on Light Field image and video coding and evaluation.
