In my Masters in Complex Systems Science in England and France I did masters projects on Bayesian inverse problems on barcode reconstruction (discontinuous function reconstruction), and instabilities in tearing of thin films (both experimentally and theoretically).
After I worked in theoretical and experimental lab to study instabilities in thin materials (particularly folding and wrapping) in UMass (USA).
Nowadays in my PhD project I keep combining theoretical, experimental and numerical approaches to figure out the perplexing instabilties of thin materials, particularly focusing on buckling of the thin curved shells.
