Biography
Hanjie Pan was an MPhil student at Image & Video Processing Lab, CUHK. Prof. Thierry Blu was his undergraduate and graduate supervisor. His MPhil study focused on two sparse image restoration problems: 1) Solving the standard ell-1 regularized objective functional with linear expansion of thresholds (LET); 2) Sampling signals (specifically two-dimensional curves) with finite rate of innovation (FRI). He was a visiting research student at Imperial College London supervised by Prof. Pier-Luigi Dragotti during the summer 2010.
He is currently working on sampling of FRI-type signals advised by Prof. Martin Vetterli and Prof. Thierry Blu within Audiovisual Communications Laboratory (LCAV).
