Biographie
My research lies in the multidisciplinary area of bio-inspired materials, focussing specifically on mineralized composites and hierarchical (micro- and nano-structured) surfaces. I am interested in the broad areas of biomineralization, amorphous CaCO3, biomimetics and functional materials exhibiting optical, mechanical, adhesive or self-cleaning properties.I have received my Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from National University of Singapore and have also received the MIT-SUTD fellowship that enabled me to undertake independent research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
