During the last 10 years, Ioannis has worked on numerous projects and has been exposed to a variety of fields: topology optimization, material science, structural design, computational engineering, computational geometry, facade engineeering, finite element analysis, robotic fabrication, additive manufacturing, catalan vaulting, GFRP structures, CFRP structures, timber structures etc.
In SXL, his focus is on the development of a computational method for the automated equilibrium-aware design space exploration of bar networks in tension and/or compression.
