Marie Laure Burgener
Biography
Marie Laure (MarLa) Burgener is a Strategic Web and communications Executive and Social Entrepreneur. A pioneer in using “gamification” for climate action, she founded GreenGoWeb in 2012 (Switzerland). She created one of the first applications to motivate leading organizations' employees to adopt sustainable practices while measuring impact.In 2015, she represented entrepreneurial innovation at COP21, Paris, amongst CAC40 and presidential office representatives. Later, at COP24 (Katowice, 2018), she held a conference on sustainable business models and the use of “Data 4 Good” for environmental and social impact ventures, which was relayed internationally. The same year, she was elected among the 100 leaders shaping Swiss-Romande mobility (FORUM des 100).
Burgener’s work was part of the first-ever European retrospective on the place of games in society during the exhibition “PLAY!” at the Aarau City Museum (2018-2019). In 2021, she started a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) to continue her pioneering work, research women’s soft mobility, and contribute to a better understanding of rewards and incentives on behaviors.
