MissionThe overarching goal of my research is to understand the functional and neuronal contributions of human action and (action) awareness to body perception and self-consciousness. In other words – how does my brain define my self, my body, and my bodily boundaries? How do my actions distinguish me from the environment and from other selves around me? My second goal is to translate these findings to rehabilitation - be it through VR based interventions or to inform the design and ultimately embodiment of wearable robotics.
