Scott Lindner received the MEng degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the University of Edinburgh in 2011. From 2011 to 2013 he was a trainee in the microelectronics section of the European Space Research and Technology Centre, Noordwijk, The Netherlands, where he worked on analog IC design for space applications. Since 2013, he has been pursuing a Ph.D. degree at the EPFL in collaboration with the Biomedical Optics Research Laboratory (BORL) at the University Hospital Zürich. His research is focused on the design of SPAD based CMOS image sensors for use in biomedical applications, e.g. near-infrared optical tomography (NIROT).
