Courses

Algèbre linéaire et géométrie (pour MAN)

PREPA-032(a)

We present the fundamental notions of linear algebra in the geometric context where they emerged. We will therefore emphasize the dimensions 2 and 3, and insist on the visualisation of classical objects and operations in the plane and in the 3D space.

Analysis A (for MAN)

PREPA-031(a)

This course offers the basic tools in calculus and in solving of equations and inequations on real and complex numbers. The course explores the study of elementary fonctions and is a basis for the calculus course.

Analysis I

MATH-101(c)

We study the fundamental concepts of analysis, calculus and the integral of real-valued functions of a real variable.

Analysis I (flipped classroom)

MATH-101(pi)

Study the fundamental concepts of analysis, and the differential and integral calculus of real-valued functions of one real variable.

Statistical mechanics and Gibbs measures

MATH-486

This course provides a rigorous introduction to the ideas, methods and results of classical statistical mechanics, with an emphasis on presenting the central tools for the probabilistic description of infinite lattice systems.
