Courses

Optics and photonics

Modern optics touches many subjects, from quantum encryption and computing to communication by fiber. This first course covers most aspects of wave and electromagnetic optics: propagation, dispersion, interference, diffraction, polarisation, modulation, waveguides, etc.

Experimental methods in physics

The course's objectivs are: Learning several advenced methods in experimental physics, and critical reading of experimental papers.

Introduction to Metalorganic Vapour Phase Epitaxy of III-V semiconductors

This course offers an insight into the science of epitaxial growth, a chapter of surface science requiring basic understanding of thermodynamics, crystallography, electronic and optical properties of semiconductors.
