Philippe Wieser obtained his diploma of engineer in mechanics at the EPFL in 1977 and he received his PhD in 1981. After a few years working in a engineering consulting company, he joined the EPFL as lecturer. His fields of research and teaching deal with logistics, supply chain management, information systems and integrated logistics, health supply chain and project management. Since 2000 to 2019, Philippe Wieser is the executive director of IML: International Institute for the Management of Logistics (EPFL - Lausanne and ENPC - Paris). He is “Professeur titulaire” at EPFL and also Professor at "Ecole des Ponts (ENPC)" in Paris. Since 2018, Philippe Wieser is Scientific Director of the Chair "Supply Chain of the Future" at ENPC. Philippe Wieser teaches in EPFL-Lausanne, ENPC-Paris (Executive Master) and other European and African Universities. He is author or co-author of more than 180 publications and international conferences.

Logistics and demand analysis

MGT-426

Logistics, a cross-disciplinary function par excellence, integrates all the dimensions of value-adding industrial processes, from supply to distribution to customers and beyond, while taking sustainable development into account. Particular emphasis will be placed on the forecasting approach.

Project management and risk analysis

This course focuses on a general approach to project management while assessing risk approach at each step of the project.
