Global issues: energy B

This course offers an overview of global techno-economic and social challenges related to the energy transition to a low-carbon economy. It will discuss the prospects and barriers to the implementation of a future sustainable energy system.

Energy conversion and renewable energy

This course presents an overview of (i) the current energy system and uses (ii) the main principles of conventional and renewable energy technologies and (iii) the most important parameters that define their efficiency, costs and environmental impacts.
