Nutrition: from molecules to health
The course addresses methods/technologies to study how nutrition affects biological and pathophysiological processes. It provides an overview of molecular phenotyping of individuals and key aspects to perform clinical investigations, covers nutrigenomics, genetics, micronutrients, microbiota.
Global issues: food A
The course offers an overview of issues linked to nutrition: sustainable production, food security, food safety, as well as food and health.
The interdisciplinary approach integrates SHS with engineering sciences and introduces students to team work and to scientific methodology.
