Isabella di Lenardo
Ph.D. in Theories and Art History.
Isabella di Lenardo is the Venice Time Machine Coordination Manager.
Since the beginning of the Venice Time Machine, she directed all the urban modelling simulations of the city and acted as content curator for all the exhibitions (Venice Biennale, Grand Palais, Datasquare - ArtLab).
She is also Project Head of “Replica” project which consists of the digitization of 1 million photos of artworks in the Fondazione Giorgio Cini (Venice) and their patterns extraction through a search engine for visual similarities.
Her research interests in History are focused on the production and circulation of artistic and architectural knowledge in Europe XVIth – XVIIIth centuries in particular on North-South relationships and influences.
She is also interested in cadastral studies, focusing in particular on cases in which such approaches have led to the requisitioning previous assumption concerning the morphology, the sociology and the economy of the city.
Isabella di Lenardo has a Ph.D in Art History and also studied Archaeology and Urban Studies. She has published numerous essays and articles about Venetian Art and Urban History and participated in many Art exhibitions in European museums.
She is coordinating regular summer schools and workshops about Digital Tools for Art History and Urban History.
She’s lecturing in several universities including Venice International University.
