Ces travaux de recherches ont pour objectif de mieux comprendre les processus influençant le climat urbain, les dépenses énergétiques des bâtiment, le design des systèmes énergétique et le comfort en zone urbaine. Il detient un doctorat de l'Université de Strasbourg (France) en Sciences de la Terre et de l'Environnement et détient un Master en Sciences - Interaction Climat-Environnement de Université de Versailles - St- Quentin en Yvelines (France). Il a aussi travaillé et fait un partie de ses études à Purdue University (USA). Depuis 2014, il travaille au sein du Laboratoire LESO-PB à l'EPFL. Crois fermement à une recherche ouverte (surtout quand elle est financé par de l'argent public) et aux programmes de médiation scientifique. Travaux actuelles

Je suis actuellement chercheur au LESO-PB et travaille sur divers projets: 1. Le SCCER - FEEB&D centré sur l'efficacité énergétique des bâtiment et des quartier urbains. Notre groupe est particulièrement impliquer dans l'évaluation de la capacité à implémenter des énergies renouvelables décentralisés dans un milieu urbain afin d'améliorer l'autonomie énergétique des quartiers mais aussi en diminuant les émission de gaz à effet de serre. 2. Continuer le développement de modèle travaillant à plusieurs échelles (quartier, urbain, regional). Le Canopy Interface Model (CIM) qui a été developpé récemment peut être utilisé dans les modèles météo (comme WRF) mais a aussi été couplé avec l'outil CitySim. L'objectif à moyen terme est de développer de nouvelles méthodologies et outils qui pourront être utilisés pour la planification urbaine (consommation d'énergie, comfort thermique, configuration de systèmes) sur des térritoires pouvant aller du quartier à l'échelle de la ville. 3. MoTUS - Mesures de la turbulence en milieu urbain. Afin de mieux comprendre les processus météorologiques dans un milieu urbain, un mât de 27m de haut a été installé sur le campus de l'EPFL. Des anémomètres soniques 3D de même que des sondes de températures de surfaces et un radiomètre ont été installé. 4. Four solaire. Avec le groupe Nano du LESO, nous essayons d'améliorer les performances des four solaires en y utilisant des techniques essentiellement dévéloppées et utilisées dans les bâtiments.
