About Me
As the Computer Vision Group Leader and Senior Scientist at the Signal Processing Lab (LTS5) and a Lecturer at EPFL, I also have a joint appointment in the Department of Radiology at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). I am an integral part of the European Lab for Learning & Intelligent Systems (ELLIS) and contribute to EPFL’s ELLIS Unit. Previously, I advanced my research as a Postdoctoral Researcher at IBM Research-Australia.

Fields of expertise
My expertise lies in the synergy of computer vision, medical image analysis, and machine learning. I have a keen interest in self-supervised learning and foundation models, with a focus on leveraging these for innovation in vision-based applications through learning with limited data or labels. My research is committed to developing advanced intelligent machines that can navigate the complexities of responsible AI, addressing key issues like reliability, generalization, and data and annotation scarcity.
