Expertise

Energy transition and decarbonization
Urban energy systems
Renewable energy communities
Originally from Belgium, I grew up in Brussels and began my engineering studies at UCLouvain. In 2018, I moved to Switzerland to pursue a Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at EPFL. From 2020 to 2025, I completed a PhD under the supervision of Prof. François Maréchal at the IPESE laboratory at EPFL Valais.

I have always been deeply concerned about environmental issues, and my PhD in the field of the energy transition, focusing on the decarbonization of the building stock, was therefore closely aligned with my values and convictions. I am now continuing to pursue these research topics at EPFL, in collaboration with institutional and industrial partners across Switzerland.

Alongside my research activities, I am involved in youth movements and mountain activities. My years spent in Valais have allowed me to pursue a long-standing project: to climb all the 4,000-metre peaks in the Alps.
