Analysis of hyperstatic structures

CIVIL-497

This course provides the foundation for understanding how hyperstatic structures deform and carry loads under a variety of loading conditions. Beyond analytical methods, it emphasizes the development of physical intuition of internal force distributions and verification on numerical results.

Stone masonry: Past, present, and future

This course introduces students to the historical, structural, and environmental aspects of stone masonry. Emphasis is on understanding the role of stone masonry in architecture, basic structural behavior, and approaches to predict and assess the performance of stone masonry buildings.
