Expertise

kinematics, singularities, path planning, design optimization
I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at LASA lab, EPFL. I completed my PhD titled «Cuspidal Robots: theoretical study, classification and applications to commercial robots» under the guidance of Prof. Philippe Wenger and Prof. Damien Chablat. Prior to it, I did my Master's degree in the Erasmus Mundus course, European Master on Advanced Robotics plus (EMARO ).
My master thesis was on optimal kinematic design of a parallel mechanism for otological surgery in collaboration with the Nantes Hospital. While working as Junior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur, I worked in Sensorless compliance in 6-dof parallel mechanisms and multi-agent load manipulation.
Buzzwords that interest me: algebraic geometry, optimisation, neural network, design, control, motion planning, cuspidal robots

Kinematics grounded motion planning for robots

ENG-654

Students learn forward/inverse kinematics, singularity analysis, and constraint-aware path planning for modern robotic manipulators, implementing kinematic models and planners in a final project.
