I am a PhD student with a background in environmental microbiology, and I am interested in microbial metabolism, both at the level of a cell and at the level of the entire microbial community, which is linked to elemental cycles.
For my Masters, I worked on the physiology, metabolism and genomics of thermophilic sulfur-oxidizing bacteria in hot springs.
For my PhD, I am working on microbial communities in permafrost-affected alpine regions using metagenomics.
