Alejandro holds a BA in Geography and an MA in Urban Planning and Environmental Management from the University of Barcelona, as well as an MSc in Territorial Development, with a specialization in the Global South, and a Certificate in Geomatics from the University of Geneva. Before joining EPFL, he worked in urban and territorial planning, spatial analysis and climate adaptation on development cooperation projects across Africa, Asia and Latin America. He previously worked in GIS and cartography at the Cartographic and Geological Institute of Catalonia and taught research methods at the University of Barcelona.
