Dr. Zuhaib Batra is a Senior Scientist & Global Policy Lead at EPFL, and Scientific Collaborator at the Smart Living Lab, HEIA-FR (HES-SO) in Switzerland. His research supports policy-making and industry through developing decision-making tools and evidence-base focused on energy efficiency, IEQ, LCA, sufficiency and decarbonization. His expertise spans in net-zero & healthy buildings, building physics, building stock data and policy instruments, having led several European and international projects. Dr. Batra holds a PhD from University of Galway and has won several fellowships including the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action (MSCA) fellowship. He is a core team member of the Global Building Data Initiative (GBDI) and a Swiss expert in the IEA Annex 89.
