Alessandro Geraldini is a postdoc studying magnetised plasma sheaths, with a particular focus on the ones occurring near the walls of fusion devices.Prior to working at EPFL, he obtained an MPhys (Master of Physics) degree (2014) and successively completed a PhD in Theoretical Physics (2018) under the supervision of Professor Felix Parra, both at the University of Oxford. He then carried out a postdoc at the University of Maryland, working with Dr. Matt Landreman on optimizing stellarators for reduced magnetic island sensitivity (2018-2020).
