Biography
Alessio Zicoschi was born in Rome in 1998. He obtained both his BSc and his MSc with honors in University of Rome "La Sapienza". For his Master's Degree Thesis (supervisors C. Palomba and S. Mastrogiovanni), he joined the LIGO-Virgo Scientific Collaboration. The project consisted in the first EM triggered search for continuous gravitational signals generated by r-mode excitations in pulsar PSR J0537-6910. This work led to the writing of the related LIGO-Virgo Collaboration Paper.Since 2021, Alessio is Ph.D. student at EPFL in the group of Tobias Kippenberg at the Laboratory of Photonics and Quantum Measurements (K-Lab).
