Biography

My research deals with daily mobilities, their social inequalities, and subsequent spatial controversies. My work covers different types of spatial configurations, but most of it focuses on European border regions, especially the French-Swiss Greater Geneva. I develop my research topics in a threefold perspective: one of the social structures organizing individual positions (capital, social space, etc.), one of the sociological processes governing our daily behaviors (socialization, life course, etc.), and one of the political claims related to space (Gilets Jaunes, social movements about infrastructural projects, etc.). I argue for a quantitative and reflexive sociology, both close to statistical techniques, but also criticizing its own tools and keen to the use of qualitative methods.
