Courses

Statistical thermodynamics

The course covers two topics: an introduction to interfacial chemistry, and statistical thermodynamics. The second part includes concepts like the Boltzmann distribution law, partition functions, ensembles, calculations of thermodynamic properties, quantum statistics, metals, and applications.

Methods in spectroscopy and dynamics

We will review modern technique for the determination of structure and dynamics in chemistry. Recent developments in spectroscopy as well as methods that target the fundamentals of chemical reactions will be discussed, and applications will be studied.

General physics : thermodynamics

Give the student the basic notions that will allow him or her to have a better understanding of physical phenomena, such as the mechanic of point masses. Acquire the capacity to analyse quantitatively the consequences of these effects with appropriate theoretical tools.
