Antoine Duret is a graduate EPF (Écoles Polytechniques Fédérales) engineer in Microengineering. After earning his BSc at EPFL in 2021, he continued with an MSc, complemented by a minor in biomedical technologies. In Spring 2023, he completed his master’s thesis at FEMTOprint SA in Lugano, focusing on the use of parylene coatings as mechanical protective layers for glass medical microdevices. He is currently enrolled in EPFL’s doctoral program in advanced manufacturing at Galatea Laboratory under supervision of Prof. Yves Bellouard. His research centers on the integration of fiber Fabry–Perot cavities, in collaboration with the Atom Chips Group at the Kastler Brossel Laboratory (ENS-PSL, Paris). Antoine is strongly committed to education and participates in a variety of teaching activities. In his free time, he volunteers at the Blonay-Chamby Railway Museum, where he restores historic steam trains and develops railway skills.
