Starting from Maxwell's equations, this course covers many aspects of optics, in theory and applications: geometrical optics, electromagnetic waves, propagation, dispersion, interference, diffraction, polarization, wave guiding and fibers.

Experimental methods in physics

The course's objectivs are: Learning several advenced methods in experimental physics, and critical reading of experimental papers.

Introduction to Metalorganic Vapour Phase Epitaxy of III-V semiconductors

This course offers an insight into the science of epitaxial growth, a chapter of surface science requiring basic understanding of thermodynamics, crystallography, electronic and optical properties of semiconductors.
