Biography
Here's a brief overview of my professional path at EPFL, where I've been working since July 2007.My 1st attachment was to Prof. Gerstner's Computational Neuroscience Laboratory (LCN). The lab was attached to two faculties: SV (research) and IC (computer science and finance). So I was quickly immersed in two very different environments.
In 2015, a new equal opportunity delegate was appointed in the person of Helene Fueger. I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to make a new career move and join the Equal Opportunity Office, under the Vice Presidency for Responsible Transformation (VPT). My main responsibilities were towards the various initiatives put in place to facilitate the coordination of work and family life (holiday camps, childcare, emergency childcare, grants for young parents from the academic world).
I also worked, and still work, on the administration of two programmes, run by the equality offices of the partner institutions. Theses programmes are targeted to female researchers at EPFL: REGARD (in French-speaking Switzerland) and FLP (in partnership with the ETH Domain).
In order to discover new professional opportunities, I left the Equal Opportunity Office at the end of 2023 to join the Civil Engineering Section attached to the ENAC Faculty, which is responsible for the Bachelor's and Master's programmes. The section has around 400 students. I've also joined the ENAC DO.
So I've had a very diverse professional career path, which gives me a good overview of the School. Therefore I'm very motivated today to get more involved in the life and decision-making of EPFL. If I'm elected, I'll do my best to represent the interests of the administrative and technical staff at the School Assembly.
In my private life, I'm 55, married and mother of two children (20 and 16). I've always been keen to get involved in community life of my village. I'm a member of the General Council. For several years I was a member of the committee of a small association that organises activities for young children (BEL).
I am passionate about sport and cycling in particular, and I am president of a cycle tourism club, CCRiviera.
Before 2007, I worked for an international company, first in finance and then in the IT department. As part of this role, I worked as a trainer on Office suite software and other IT tools developed in-house.
