Domaine de recherche

Dr Claire Guenat est collaboratrice scientifique au laboratoire ECOS de l'EPFL (http:www.ecos.efl.ch), laboratoire conjoint entre le WSL et l'EPFL. (http://www.wsl.ch). Claire Guenat est pédologue et a développé ses activités dans les zones alluviales depuis 1994. Certains travaux se sont focalisés sur la genèse des sols alluviaux et notamment la formation de la structure et de la dynamique de la matière organique. Plus récemment, ses travaux portent sur l'impact de la revitalisation des rivières sur la morphologie du sol et ses fonctions. Ses recherches ont été élaborées dans le cadre de travaux de master, thèses et projets nationaux et internationaux. les principaux projets récents (CCES project RECORD, www.swissexperiment. ch/index.php/Record:Home); 2) FNS “Flood Strubio “Role of organic matter and soil biota on firts steps of soil structuring‐ The case of alluvial soils from alpine to plain levels”. as co‐applicant . Claire Guenat a écrit un chapitre de livre sur la genèse, la diversité et le fonctionnement des sols en lien avec la rivière. D'autres travaux portent sur la variabilité spatiale des sols alluviaux (Bureau et al, 1994; Mendonça et al, 1997 a and b; Bureau et al., 1994, Bureau et al., 1995)et dans ce cadre une métholodogie de cartographie en 3D a été développée (Mendonça et al., 1998; Mendonça et al., 2000, Cosandey et al., 2003). L'étude de la genèse des sols alluviaux a permis de démontrer l'importance de la qualité des alluviaux et du biota dans l'élaboration de la structure et notamment des vers et enchytreides (Guenat et al. 1998; Guenat et al., 1999; Bullinger and al., 2007, Salomé et al., 2011. Ses recherches font appel au couplage entre la micromorphologie et les propriétés du sol (Hallaire et al. 1997; Degoumois et al. 1998) and alluvial soils (Guenat et al., 1998 and 1999). Les recherches portenet également sur la matière organique des sols alluviaux (Morier et al; 2010), sur la dénitrification biologique , (Cosandey et al., 2002; Cosandey et al., 2003b; Maitre et al., 2005), la décomposition de litière (Hefting et al., 2005; Bütler et al., 2007) et son stockage (Morier et al., 2008 a and b; Samaritani et al.2011). Plus récemment, ses travaux ont porté sur la bioindication en zones alluviales (Bullinger et al, 2012).
