Claudio Grimaldi

I started my studies in physics at the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1987, and graduated in 1993 with a thesis on non-adiabatic electron-phonon superconductivity under the supervision of Luciano Pietronero. In 1994 I moved to the Max-Planck-Institute of Stuttgart in the group of Peter Fulde, where I obtained my Ph.D. degree in 1997 with a thesis on spin-orbit interation and non-equilibrium superconductivity. After a short post-doc in Rome, I was appointed as 1st assistant at the EPF-Lausanne in 1998 at the Laboratoire de Production Microtechnique (LPM). In 2005 I moved to the condensed matter department of the University of Geneva and in 2007 I spent one year at the Max-Planck Institute of Complex Systems in Dresden. Since 2008 I am scientific collaborator at the LPM-EPFL and R&T scientist at Sensile Medical AG.
