Courses

Imaging optics

Introduction to 0ptical imaging systems such as camera objectives and microscopes. Discussion of imaging formation. Principles of design of imaging optics with geometrical optics and analysis with raytracing. Presentation of different applications in photography and microscopy.

Optics laboratories II

This laboratory work allows students to deepen their understanding of optical instruments, optoelectronic devices and diagnostic methods. Students will be introduced in state of the art optical instruments and measurement principles.

Deep learning for optical imaging

This course will focus on the practical implementation of artificial neural networks (ANN) using the open-source TensorFlow machine learning library developed by Google for Python.
