Evgeniy Upenik is a postdoctoral researcher at EPFL. His field of interest covers a wide area ranging from image and video compression to immersive communication and virtual reality. He received his master's degree in engineering physics from Novosibirsk State Technical University and his PhD degree in electrical engineering with specialisation in multimedia signal processing from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
