Courses

Applied software engineering for life sciences

BIO-210

We learn and apply software engineering principles to develop Python projects addressing life science problems. Projects will be expanded iteratively throughout the semester.

Biological data science I: statistical learning

BIOENG-210

Processing, analyzing, and interpreting large biological datasets is an essential skill for modern biologists. This course aims to provide the theoretical foundations, analytical techniques, and software tools necessary to effectively manage and derive insights from biological data.

Scientific literature analysis in neurobiology

BIOENG-451

The goal of this course is to learn to analyze a scientific paper critically, question if the data support the conclusions, and produce constructive referee reports in written or oral form. The papers considered will give an overview of the field of developmental neurobiology.
