For more than 28 years, I have edited papers for the post-docs and PhD students of five professors in the IC faculty. Yet, I am not just a proofreader. Fortunately for me, my job is much more interesting than just correcting punctuation and grammar.

My editing work consists of more than simple proofreading (basic punctuation and grammar corrections).  Rather, I teach authors how to write with precision and clarity, how to avoid wordiness, imprecise informality and, more importantly, ambiguity.  By reviewing my comments in person, we participate in a collaborative editing process that enables the author to publish text that is both technically and grammatically correct.
