Javier Castillo Seoane

Nationality: Spanish

Dr. Castillo-Seoane is a physicist and materials engineer. He obtained his Ph.D. in Science and Technology of New Materials in 2024 at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (CSIC-Univ. Seville), Spain. Within the Nanotechnology on Surfaces and Plasma group, his research focused on the nanostructuration of semiconductor materials via vacuum and plasma techniques for applications in energy, optoelectronics and sensors. Currently, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne - EPFL (Switzerland), in the Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials, focused on the development of Earth-abundant semiconductors for photovoltaics.
