The course offers an overview on selected advanced photonics topics. It targets students with a broad photonics background or equivalent, who are willing to broaden their knowledge in the discipline. The course is given by lecturers from both EPFL and FEMTO-ST.
Applied Electromagnetics for Metamaterial Design

This course provides the students with the appropriate electromagnetics foundation to understand, model and design metamaterials, especially two-dimensional electromagnetic and optical structures such as metasurfaces. This course covers concepts that apply to both the microwave and optical regimes.
