Biographie
Katharina Füglister is the Director of International Affairs at EPFL since March 2023.She has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Zurich (2011), a Master's degree from the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne (2005), and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Geneva (2002).
Her career includes significant roles in the Swiss federal government level, where she served as Deputy Secretary General at the Federal Department of Home Affairs from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, she was a Political Advisor at the same department from 2012 to 2019. Katharina Füglister has also held academic positions as a Lecturer and Research Assistant at the University of Zurich and the University of Lausanne, and she has conducted research as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan.
Her career is marked by a commitment to public service, policy advisory, and international relations, combined with a strong academic foundation in political science.
