The Practice of Ethics in Engineering Research

The course analyses a selection of case studies on selected topics to describe how human agency can respond, prevent or mitigate ethical issues by reframing these as opportunities for innovation. This analysis provides indication on what could be a good practice in engineering research and practice.

L'éthique des grandes infrastructures : L'expansion de l'autoroute A1

This project uses an ethical lens to analyse the tradeoffs of extending the Geneva - Lausanne motorway. ENAC students will develop analytical skills on ethical issues from infrastructural, environmental and urban perspectives, by assessing pros (reducing traffic) and cons (higher CO2 emissions).
