Biography

Laurent-Dominique Piveteau is Chief Executive Officer of Debiotech since 2015, a company he joined in 2005. Prior to this, he held several positions in R&D and in business development. During his PhD thesis, he collaborated with the Robert Mathys Foundation, he was then a post-doc researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge, MA, US) working on contrast media for MRI, and worked in technology transfer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) (Switzerland). He also co-founded NextKidney, a spin-off of Debiotech and taught Innovation Economics at EPFL. He is non-executive director at RSP Systems, a Denmark based medtech startup and at Oxyprem AG, based in Zürich. 

Laurent-Dominique holds an MSc in Physics from the ETH Zürich (Switzerland), a PhD from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and an MBA from INSEAD in Singapore and Fontainebleau (France).
