Research Statement
My research interests span the physics and chemistry of rocks.
Rocks are complex materials ranging in mineralogy, degree of porosity, cement or micro fracturing, and in saturating fluids. The understanding of their physical properties has direct implications with applied geophysics or civil engineering, but has tight fundamental links with the physics of granular media, tribology or poromechanics.
My main research directions and objectives aim for developments of efficient geothermal energy and CO2 geological storages.
Additionnal interests are in finding innovative and fun ways to apply rock physics.
