Courses

Fusion and industrial plasma technologies

The course provides an overview of the technologies that are essential for fusion developments and for industrial plasma applications, highlighting the synergies between the two fields. The aim is to provide a combined theoretical and experimental background to the various topics.

Magnetic confinement

To provide an overview of the fundamentals of magnetic confinement (MC) of plasmas for fusion. The different MC configurations are presented, with a description of their operating regimes. The basic elements of particle & energy transport, of plasma-wall interaction & of burning plasma are introduced.
